Sadly, that's the best he has ever offered wrt to the hardwoods.
CBB is often compared to CTB - and indeed there are strong similarities. Also note that CTB never coached again after he left Clemson, and had very limited success in the studio. I predict the same will be true of CBB once he finally departs the upstate.
The first step in being successful in a venture is to believe that you can be successful. Clemson, as an institution (mostly meaning the BoT and the athletic administration) has simply never believed CU can be successful - so, it has been a self-fulfilling prophecy across the decades.
I actually think there's a chance GN will spring the trap door this year, but even if he does, the results won't change unless his first hire is a shrink to fundamentally and deeply reset the mindset from the HC to the janitor.
and yes, Neff will probably offer up a fruit salad and keep Brad..which will re-enforce idea that Administration & BOT think lowly of BB getting better..
but they surely don’t think the same of Dabo’s dream & successful creation going back to his early firehouse plans to win here and thus get Clemson back on the map if relevance in FB.
Saying, It will take a Head BB Coach with a dream, a plan, fire in the gut and resolve to win over our ruling sports regime who has sat on mediocrity in BB.
Oh, Brad is a super Man, a loving Husband, wonderful to his players but not a great BB coach via wins and trophies.
