I did a quick run down of every conference by bowl payout. Then I did a break down by team. My first calculations are based on a full payout from the bowl. The second number takes into account the discount from the 2nd BCS team from each conference. This affected everyone except the Pac.
The numbers are all pretty close, but you can easily see why the 2nd BCS team is so important. The new playoff/Bowl structure next season will reduce the importance of the BCS bowl payout because of the even money split that comes along with the playoff but I would expect the ACC to stay in line with the rest of the conferences.
I did the same thing. I had ACC receiving 3.7 million per school and the SEC getting 4.5 per school . that is if its split between the 14 members. Are there any exceptions in the ACC in reguards to Maryland and the newest members?
