I like Brownell and I'm not saying he should be fired

or anything like that, but I do expect to see massive improvement through this year and next. At this point, we do not seem to be any better off than we were with OP even though I believe BB is a better in-game coach.
At least with OP, we were a tourney team and fun to watch, even if he couldn't take us to that next level.

Wins and losses and making the tournament are the only

things that matter. Even Brownell would tell you that. As I said, he gets another year from me, but if I am the AD, I expect to see substantial improvement and a ticket to the tournament by next year.

Guess you can't have an opinion on this site anymore without getting attacked and called a "loser." Don't know you from Adam Bryant but if you want to call me or anyone else a loser for voicing an opinion on a coach, I guess you just have your own issues.

Go back to listening to your idol Walt Deptula and if you want to compare who is a loser and who isn't, I'm game.

We will never improve until the talent level improves.

I'm talking about guys who can shoot and score. I like the players we've got, and I think Brownlee will coach them up and get the absolute most out of them. But until he gets a few studs, I don't see how we can expect to compete at a higher level.

Brownell is the perfect coach who can coach up talent. Just like the star player Clemson has leaning to us and UNC came in at the end and got him.

So you expect to see massive improvement through this year and next.Well,I'm certain Brad will sleep better tonite knowing that. Hum,lets see;Two seniors ,one missing from tonite's game because (from what I heard) he decided to do a Sammy Watkins impersonation, the other,a fair player ,but no Trevor Booker. Then there are what 4,or 5 true freshman on this team. Yea bring back Oliver.I loved nothing better than seeing 4 or 5 guys, that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn yard,or play defense running up the court nite in nite out, getting just enough wins to make a one nite stand in the Big Dance then go home. No,your not saying fire Brad, but your just letting us all know that if he doesn't meet "your" expectations,we need to consider alternatives.

throw in you lose your leading scorer prior to the game and tonight was not a huge surprise. We have no junior class and only 2 seniors, patience is going to be needed, and should be expected. Not Brownell's fault. Funny how in 1 game the young guys are showing a lot of promise according to this board and now they all blow. Another night on T-net after any loss in any sport

WHen a team is hitting 26 foot straight away bank shots,
Nov 28, 2012, 10:15 PM
|

shots from the baseline that rim out, only to bank off the back board and drop in, when you play perfect defense for 34.5 seconds and they throw up a nuttin but net three, and when every unmade shot seems to bounce directly to one of their players, well then, the coach needs to be replaced because he clearly does not have the horseshoe that is required.

I was impressed with how hard we played the second half after being so far down at half time. Purdue couldn't miss the first half. Brad is a great coach. Our facilities are 10th out of 12 in the conference. It's hard to recruit to that. Improve the facilities before you judge his ability to recruit. Purdue had a lot of fans and many of the most obnoxious ones I have been around and I've been to basketball games at Maryland, Georgia and S. Carolina.. Several of them were true embarrassments to their school.

First of all, he has 6 frosh and 6 soph and if you were any kind of bball fan you would have seen BB's teams get better as the year goes on. Tonight we ran into a team that was making everything, fall away jumpers, etc. and in the second half I saw one of their players falling down making a blind over the shoulder pass for a layup. Unbelievable. Purdue played their game of the year. Happens in bball. People like should keep their mouth shut to keep from looking foolish.
