Biggest crowd ever for a Pitt game tonight.

Sep 1, 2022, 9:44 PM

This is one of those great old rivalries lost to the conference affiliation mess, whether you care about either team or not.

And take note Georgia Tech - Pitt's upper decks are open for business and packed out.

I wish there wasn’t so many people there…

That 1000-ft wide meteor I want to strike the stadium wouldn’t cause as many casualties. And I could sleep easier.

Tech knew the game would not be a sellout so why have a few folks in the Upper Deck? It would have been easy to get a beer and go to the bathroom if a few people were in the nosebleed sections.

Nah, I think they actually knew Clemson fans would have bought plenty of tickets if they were available and would have outnumbered them at their own "home game" so they cut it off at 42,000.

The announcers said it is the largest crowd ever to attend any sporting event in Pittsburg. Seems hard to believe but that’s what they said.

Pittsburgh. Don't forget the "h" on the end.

Big TV market too that provides distinct value to the conference.

This game is USC vs. USC (at the QB position)

Kedon Slovis chased JT Daniels out of USC, now both guys are playing each other at different schools.

My favorite part of college football are the traditional rivalries. “Familiarity breeds contempt” is a saying for a reason. Money has ruined far too much of this. Watching 2 teams that can’t stand each other go at it is greatness to me. It’s one of the last vestiges of unvarnished “truth” that we have left.
Old rivalries are “the bomb”.

Glad you said that

The way ESPN were using all lower camera angles is what they do when upper decks are covered
