Clemson is 66-101 all-time against Wake Forest, including 17-55 in games played in Winston-Salem.

Because they cycled through coaches every few years instead of being patient and investing in the program

It is mind boggling. Why do people who clearly know nothing about basketball care so much about Brad Brownell. I’m assuming that Mr “Cycles through Coaches”/Cobbox/Jstone doesn’t even realize Skip Prosser died. Dino Gaudio, his short term replacement, is a literal convicted criminal. Odom was there 12 years but had a major, sustained fall off after Tim Duncan left. He had a dead cat bounce in year 12 and the coots were stupid enough to ###### him up when WF were unsure what to do with him. Manning and Bzedlick combined for 2 winning seasons in a decade - which one of them should have gotten longer? Neither are coaching anywhere currently. That would suggest WF didn’t pull the trigger too early. Steve Forbes is in striking distance of his 2nd 20 win season in 3 years after taking over a team that won 6 games. Don’t see him going anywhere soon.

A winner relative to whom? The also-rans that have left coaching after stints at Wake Forest? Absolutely. Relative to anyone who will ever hoist a trophy? No. You won’t actually have a debate on the merit because you don’t have a leg to stand on. In the 64 team era 6 coaches have ever one a title for the first time 14 seasons or later into their tenure. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE had made the tourney or finished ranked MINIMALLY at twice the pace Brad BrowneLL has and that’s with me giving him credit for making it this year. Supporting Brownell is support for perpetual mediocrity in Clemson basketball. You should explain your real motive rather than insist that he is a great coach.

So that is the entire standard? Win more games than you losing regardless of any other fact and you believe he should have a permanent home as Clemson basketball coach? It's completely fine if you do. How about just write it out in a full sentence and post that from now on about stuff like "cycling through coaches" which is clearly not true. There isn't a single Power 5 coach tenured more than 7 years who have made the tourney less than Brownell. Stop pretending he's something he isn't.
