You know I feel like our baseball team was like our football team a few years ago. So close to being special but just falling short to the teams that are always throns in our side. I really hope Coach Lee is just what the doctor ordered.

I love Clemson baseball but I can't stand watching MLB. I find it so boring compared to college ball. I honestly think Clemson's baseball program is second to the football program. Nothing beats Death Valley.

Yea I go to as many home baseball games as I can but this year I'm going to try and go to some away one as well. I know I'm going to the Clemson vs. Citadel games and the one vs Charleston southern.

I agree. I think we can score runs this year and play defense, but Clate Schmidt and Charlie Barnes being 1 and 2 concern me. We must win mid-week games as well.

My only expectations are making a NCAA regional this year.

Anything more and I will be impressed, anything less and I will be disappointed.
In order for this coaching move to be a clear success I say the following should be the minimum...
Year 1. Regionals Year 2. Regionals (If we miss this two years in a row we can safely say we took a step back) Year 3. Super Regionals Year 4. Super Regionals (If no supers by year 4, we can safely say we took a step back, unless we get CLOSE at least once and never miss the NCAA) Year 5. CWS (If no CWS appearance in first 5 years one could reasonably argue that our coaching change was premature UNLESS we are in the Supers a few times.)
If the above trajectory takes place, or something similar, then we can conclude the coaching move was probably the right call.
To put another way, to avoid failure the following must be true about the first 5 years.
At least 4/5 years NCAA berth. At least 2/5 Supers OR At least 1/5 CWS berth
Otherwise we either stepped back or took a lateral move.
A national championship would be the wild card. One of those can replace most of what I have above.
------------------------- That said, from what I know I think the hire was solid. We'll see if I'm right.
I don't care about conference titles, so that doesn't even enter into my expectations. Just an upper 1/2- Upper 1/4 finish in the regular season ACC standings every year. It's all about the NCAA's
