Ball Security

Dec 1, 2013, 10:43 AM

Let's think about this. We turn the ball over 6 times and Usuc none. Coaches teach ball secuity. There is a certain way to carry the ball. We are definitely not an SEC caliper team at least not week to week. We beat a weaker Georgia team this year. We can not win on the big stage with turnovers. I get tired of cheerleader coaching and he praised the team last night. Do you hear these other coaches praise a team after 6 turnovers. Dabo is a great recruiter but will never be an elite coach.

We beat UGA when they were at their best this year. No one else can say that, but you are dead on the $$$ about Dumbo. And IF/when CU finally is forced by enough rich, disgruntled IPTAY donors to make a change, those of us who knew all along and are being ridiculed, will be once again vindicated in the same way we were after Bowden was finally fired. You see, the fact that NO ONE has hired Bowden since, and NO ONE will hire Dumbo after CU, will vindicate those of us who knew they were charlatans years in advance.

they were fully healthy and anticipated to compete for the championship.

Your argument just lost all merit.

Another great point and I agree! I like Dabo and he is a great recruiter but our team is not tough enough and that emanates from him. Throw that in with the OC and DC drowning with water over their heads and it is fully explained.

Coaching

There is no doubt Spurrier has an advantage with his background. Chad has a very good offensive mind but you do not call the trick play when you are driving the ball successfully. That is a high school call. I had hoped for tie in the 4th quarter to give us a chance. By the way, where is our Wildcat formation with Sammy? Chad seems to only know what he has been taught and there is not much imagination. Strength training obviously needs to be addressed. We look as though we play scared in these big games. Danny Ford teams did not play scared because of toughness. We have now had taste of top ten and we will want more. This may be short lived.Would Saban, Meyer, Richt, and other top coaches compete better with our players? We competed for 3 quarters last night, but 4 turnovers in the 4th?
