At what point will Confused Coot et al realize that...

they will be insignificant for most of the rest of their miserable lives?
Their run was a good one, even if they had to sell their soul to the devil. However, he is now collecting on his 5-year contract with them, and it ain't pretty. Their remaining recruiting are "Ralphing" now, and pretending to matter, but deep down they all realize the chitstorm that they just walked into. Their leader is a drunken golfer that wishes they would all just go away and stop making him give the media any answers after their games (Tennessee). Their DC is scared to raise up and answer why he is being replaced, but not yet fired, and The State rag is scared to even ask. Their AD is a Baseball coach and knows nothing about football, nor does he care. The HC's son is the real HCIW, but nobody has told the fans yet, but even the dumbest ones will eventually figure it out.
And some coots, maybe the dumbest ones, continue to suffer through the Five Stages of Grief (similar to the 63-17 beatdown). I'm not sure which stage Confused Coot is in, but I'm guessing he's still in DENIAL while others have already moved on to ANGER and SADNESS.
