So we limited our playbook for a Sr

Nov 10, 2014, 12:03 PM

That grew up in the system? Yet open it up for the true freshman. And it took us 4 games to start the freshman why?!!!! Im starting to believe it was Dabos call and The Chad would have went with #4 vs UGA

It's like people have no idea what an injury is.***

Welp then Mr.... explain why he had 0 TDs before his "injury"

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Na, the coaches have just been lying to us!

Nov 10, 2014, 12:13 PM [ in reply to It's like people have no idea what an injury is.*** ]

When they said that Watson was "ready to play" but that they wouldn't play him except if they absolutely had to, and then Watson didn't play, that meant they were lying. When they've said that Peake was getting better and that they were hopeful to get him back soon, but said he'd be out for whatever the next game was and then Peake didn't play in that game, it meant they were lying. When they said Dye was ready to go against Syracuse but didn't say he would definitely play against them, and then Dye didn't actually play, it certainly meant they lied about that, too.

Poor baby. There, there. Would a little nap help?

It's like people don't realize

Nov 10, 2014, 12:17 PM [ in reply to It's like people have no idea what an injury is.*** ]

that physical abilities play a role in what your offense can do. If Cole Stoudt can't execute a particular play, then you don't run it. People are way too into scheme instead of the players on the field.

I think NA Tiger has asks a valid question , but you made a good point . We may never know the answer . Lets just hope we keep winning and no one gets hurt .

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this is why we aren't coaching...

Nov 10, 2014, 12:09 PM

Schuesssssssler has more "experience" than Watson too. What would his playbook look like?

The playbook was limited bc of

Nov 10, 2014, 12:10 PM

Stoudt's physical abilities and the fact that if he got hurt, we were doomed. It's not because Stoudt can't learn the playbook.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

BUT, Everyone on TNET said that we limited the playbook for

Nov 10, 2014, 12:10 PM

Watson?!?!?

I am so confused.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Are we still harping on about this?

Nov 10, 2014, 12:19 PM

It is quite clear Cole Stoudt, while a fine young man, doesn't possess the talent and God-given abilities that DW and Tajh possessed. He could be in the system for 10 years and he probably still wouldn't be able to pull off the stuff DW does/Tajh did.

Let it go.

“I love this place. I’ve got a spot already picked out where I want ‘em to put me when I die…up there on there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays. Then I wont have to go to heaven. I’ll already be there.”-Frank Howard

Not only has Stoudt been playing injured

Nov 10, 2014, 12:21 PM

But he is not the right fit for Morris's offense. Morris never recruited Stoudt, he was already on campus when the chad arrived. He wants a duel threat QB and Cole just isn't a duel threat.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think having a QB who's not a duel threat is a good thing

seems like we got rid of our duel threat QB

Nov 10, 2014, 12:49 PM

and kept the dual threat one

This is all coach speak for:

Nov 10, 2014, 1:24 PM

* Senior QB practiced well and we didn't want to through a true Frosh under the bus against a top 10 team on the road for his first two major games (UGA and FSU).
* It became apparent that the Frosh was a better in game player
* Frosh gets hurt, back comes Senior
* Senior has trouble reading defenses so we keep the playbook simple to avoid INTs and other mistakes
* Frosh has had more time to study playbook while injured and can read defenses better
* Playbook now opened that Frosh will be back

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Let it go, even STS has let it go.***
