Fla. St. needs to opt out of the Orange Bowl. UGA will brutalize them with so many players out. The committee will then say "See, I told you so".

As much as I would like to see it, I don't think FSU will do it. The game will give Norvell a good idea of where his team stands for next year. Also, the Seminoles are probably already in many peoples' crosshairs with all of their complaining about the ACC and being snubbed regarding the playoff. I'm not sure if there would be any fines, but FSU would certainly not make any $ if they cancel.

The players opt/cop out is very selfish. FSU has a commitment to the Orange Bowl. The school and ACC would likely get sued if the school backed out of the game.

UGA will be working on a skeleton crew themselves.

Way more depth to start out with but still they have a lot of transfers and NFL departures.

The disadvantage of not being in an ESPN approved conference is you lose the cover during the game. If this was an sec team they’d show the graphic between each new set of downs about how many people are out. Then Kirk would refer to them 1,000 times as untested, young freshman, on and on.
