ACC 1953-2012 R. I. P.

The ACC is a dying conference, the ship is sinking fast and it's time for Clemson to jump off.

But will Clemson jump into that water and climb into the Big 12 Lifeboat?

They better.

not that i give two sharts...

but i wonder what will happen to the ACC if and when the football schools bail out (FSU, GT, VT, State, Miami)? I personally don't see anyway in the world UNC will leave the conference. Will the conference just merge up with the remaining Big East basketball schools and create something????

UNC would leave for Big Ten . . . and Big Ten needs teams

and would take them in a minute. If the Big Ten was looking at MD and Rutgers (and they were), they would definitely take UNC.

I am not entirely convinced that the 4 football schools (FSU,Clemson, Va Tech, Miami) are all bolting. But if they do, I think the Big 10 sweeps in and takes Maryland, UNC, UVA and Pitt (if they are available). UNC ends up in a better conference than we do....
