What makes the GOAT the GOAT at Quarterback?

As the sun has nearly, if not already, set on the career of one Tom Brady, he is acknowledged by most as the Greatest Of All Time, the GOAT. But, what makes him that? Is he the most physically gifted? Please, anyone who believes that would make me spew milk through my nose if they said it while I was drinking milk. Strongest arm? Nope. Good runner? Again, pleaae, he is not, and never HAS been, even an adequate runner in the NFL. So, what is it?
In Brady's case, it has to be the space between the ears. He is without a doubt one of the best decision makers with the football that has ever played the game. And, when he makes a decision, he is capable of pinpoint execution of that decision, delivering the ball into some very small windows. Another strength is just sheer force of will. No matter how the game had gone up to a point, if there was still a chance to sn.atch victory from the jaws of defeat with a last gasp drive, you could almost bank it, he was going to come through.
That, more than anything, has infuriatingly frustrated his competition over the years. HOW did we let this guy beat us? It reminds me a whole lot of one who I personally consider to be on a very short list of the greatest MLB pitchers of all time, Greg Maddux. One opposing hitter said of him, "He ain't impressive at all, but at the end of the game, you find yourself a nice comfortable 0 for 4, saying, HOW?" Brady has always been like that. He will retire, finally, at some point, and we will STILL be trying to figure out how he sawed the girl in half without really doing her any harm.
I certainly do not like Tom Brady. Especially this year, kicking his supermodel wife to the curb just to play one or two more meaningless years, the phrase "staying too long at the dance" inevitably comes to mind. But, like him or not, you have to have a H.ell of a lot of RESPECT for what he has accomplished in the game. But, he will finally run up against the one common foe that neither he, nor any of the other GOATS in any sport you can name could ever defeat. Father Time. It gets them all in the end.

Brady is just a winner and his record speaks for itself. Jack wasn't called the best because of the Majors he was close in and MJ was not called the best because of the championships the Bulls lost. As far as the divorce goes, nobody but them knows what happened.

Dan Marino especially before the ACL injury was absolutely amazing. If his wheels would have stayed health he would have played much longer.
He could take over a game & everyone in the stadium knew he was going to pass it & most times who he was going to and they couldn’t stop it.

Dont have to like him. Joe Montana wasnt a great guy either. In basketball Michael Jordan. Not a great guy. These guys were focused. Win at all cost types. 7 super bowls. Almost had 10. He has 35 playoff wins. Guy was a 6th round draft pick. And dont mention his marriage we dont really know what happened and really not my business.

That's why MJ is the greatest professional athlete of all time. Because he was among the most physically gifted, but the most committed to excellence, was strategically and tactically brilliant, and every cell in his body was a winner. He explored everything to win. He cared more about winning than stats. He would build up or tear down ANYONE to get the W. It's kind of scary actually.

the QB and the receivers. His career wouldn't have been anywhere close to as good as it was if he had played in the 70s, 80s, and/or the 90s.
And it seems like every controversial call goes in his favor starting with the "tuck rule" playoff game with the Raiders in 2001 when everybody knew he had fumbled as it was called which would have iced the game for the Raiders, but the overturned call to incompletion started his dynasty.
And to watch him try to kick Grady Jarrett and jump up and beg for and get a roughing the passer call after he had obviously been sacked was pathetic for a GOAT. That iced the game for the Bucs when Atlanta still had a shot and was the difference they needed to make the playoffs. And yes, I'm a Brady hater; think he and his coaches have been way too shady and he just seems to come off as an arrogant prck.

I'm not really a Brady lover myself, but I think the arguments you made here are reaching. It's not like he's the only QB playing in the current league. You can only play within the rules that are in place at the time you're playing. Maybe he wouldn't have done as well decades ago, but we don't know that. We do know though that he's still had to go up against other teams playing under the same rules he has and he's done better than anyone else during his time.
As for calls, you could take great players from any sport in any time period and find calls that went their way in key games. That's just part of sports, sometimes calls go your way and sometimes they don't.
