As I have posted before about him, he was a man’s man. Served in WW2 and Korea and was a POW. Played professional baseball and billiards and was a friend to all. He was best at being my father though. He would work 14 hours a day as a building contractor but always paused to take time with me and make me a home cooked meal. He was my best friend. Probably why I fail to keep/need or want close friends

All that to say, I miss you dad and sorry I have failed to live up to your example. Thanks for teaching me that no matter what you do in life……..DONT BE A GAMECOCK!!! Love ya dad

My Dad/Best Friend died Oct 8, 2013 and his birthday is Dec 2nd . . . I’m always grateful and a bit sad on those dates and I always warn my bride the day before so she’ll know if I’m a bit off.

We were both blessed with men who cared and knew how to love!!!
