2014 Defensive Recruiting Positions and Top Targets

2014 Defensive Needs: (2) Defensive Tackles, (2) Defensive Ends, (2) Linebackers, (1) Corner, (1) Safety
Priority "numero uno"- Defensive Tackle
We missed on maybe one of our most coveted and impactful 2013 targets in M.Adams to Auburn on NSD this year. WE had high hopes but at the end of the day we have to move on. Top Defensive Tackles are hot commodity's that are hard to come by. Why is this the most important focus for 2014, you ask? If you look the Alambama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, (premier defensive teams) that all have highly touted defensive lineman that are 300**.. Games are won in the trenches and if you can take away the run or atleast alter their game plan you are one chess move ahead of every offense you face.
*** D.J Reader seems to be our most promising Tackle. He as well as Watkins, Pagano, Williams, Jarret will have to man up and take care of buiness in the mean time.

(2)Todd Kelly Jr.

DT: I would have Andrew Brown #1, he is the best of that group (concensus 5 star) and I think we have a legit shot.
LB: I agree with first two but would have Shaun Hamilton #3 who is btw us and Auburn. Haven't heard the other guy mentioned much on Clemson boards.

Kentavious Street is high on the DE list.. We are in his top group and he is highly ranked.

I agree that we are not in top group but definitely a top target....recruiting can do a 360 in the matter of a week( as we all are aware of with Robert months ago)

Jaylen Holmes and Featherstone along with Carter and williams are more realistic targets than Hand at DE..
Khairi Clark is a realistic target at DT along with Russell..
Don't be to hopeful that DSG comes to Clemson that boat has probably sailed

A. Brown will be on campus with D. Watson on march 9th I think. Great shot at landing him we need him.

He stays committed....other elete recruits WILL be coming with!
Bottom line is Dabo needs to do whatever he can to keep that young man ALL IN!!
2014 class could be one for the ages.
