Jonathan MacCollister has spent the last few months hearing all about the beauty of the Clemson campus from teammate
Parker Boudreaux
Parker Boudreaux MacCollister is a 3-star strongside defensive end/offensive guard prospect out of Orlando (FL) Bishop Moore, the same school as Clemson target and current Notre Dame commit Boudreaux. The 6-4, 240-pounder has offers from Auburn, Boston College, Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, Illinois and Indiana, among others. Schools like Kentucky and UNC like him as a defensive end, while Clemson and Auburn like him as an offensive guard. The two-way player received a Clemson offer during the spring, and he has spent much of that time hearing from Boudreaux about the Clemson campus. “I really like Clemson and I just wanted to visit so I could further my decision making process for my college choices,” MacCollister told TigerNet. “I really just wanted to get up and see the campus, and my teammate (Parker Boudreaux) had told me how beautiful it was and I just wanted to get up there and see it for myself. “ MacCollister said the visit was even better than he expected. “It went amazing. He wanted to impress on me that once you come to Clemson you are a part of that family. That was important to me.” The coaches also talked to him about his possible position at Clemson. “They told me that they have the defensive coaches look at my film,” he said. “I still have time and they want to see how my body fills out.” MacCollister said he toured the stadium and the WestZone and looked over plans for the new football operations center, but it wasn’t the facilities that stood out on the visit. “What stood out to me was how good the coaches made me feel,” he said. “They made me feel like I am already a part of the family. It makes you feel welcome, and like you are already a part of the family.” He said he isn’t sure when he will make a decision, but the Tigers are definitely at the top of his list at this point. “I don't know when I will make a decision. I am still just thinking it over and stuff,” he said. “Clemson definitely stands at the top right now. The very top. That is for sure.” Had a awesome time at clemson! most of the time. He gave me a tour and stuff, and then Coach (Robbie) Caldwell as well. Coach Caldwell seems like he is just a humble coach and a good guy to be around. He is so laid back but at the same time he is very knowledgeable. I just think he is an awesome coach.”
