As a sophomore, McNeal threw for over 3500 yards and 37 TDs. During his junior campaign, he tore his ACL. In the 8 games he played before the injury, he was 128-206 passes for 1,732 yards with 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He plans to enroll at Clemson in January.
His team finished the season with a 7-5 record. The last game was a 37-7 loss at BHP. His season stats were 149-266 for 2140 yards with 22 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 12 games.
McNeal is considered a pro style quarterback and not much of a running threat. As a junior, he rushed the ball only 12 times for 50 yards. He is an accurate passer and looks to have good footwork. Some would say his height could be an issue for a true drop back passer.
