According to Menendez coach Keith Cromwell, 5 star linebacker was “genuinely torn” about his decision between Clemson and FSU as recently as this morning.
Steward likes the small-town environment and atmosphere at Clemson. On the FSU side, Steward likes the direction Jimbo Fisher has Florida State headed in, and he likes the idea of competing for national championships. Playing time, however, will not be a factor in Steward decision. “It really doesn’t,” Cromwell said. “Tony’s the type of kid – he has no fear, I guess is the word, or hesitation about competing against the kids who are already there, or signing this year, for playing time. And Tony’s the kind of kid who doesn’t want anything handed to him, anyway.”
