Laurinburg defensive end Travian Robertson has been on an early summer tour. One of his final stops this summer was at Clemson on Monday.
"Clemson will be my last trip for a little while. I may go to Virginia Tech later this summer, but I am taking a break. We are going on vacation, and I am going to get away from the process a little." Robertson was hosted by Chris Rumph and Billy Napier. Napier is the recruiter of record, and Robertson says he enjoyed his time with Napier. "Coach Napier is great. He is young, and really comes after you hard. There has never been a big lapse in time where I didn't hear from Coach Napier. It was good seeing him and Coach Rumph again. Coach Rumph seems like a good coach, but I am sure he is much more aggressive on the practice field." Death Valley made a big impression on Robertson. "The stadium was really impressive. I am sure it is really loud on gamedays. The West Endzone they are building is amazing. All of the football offices are being moved over there, and the locker room may be the best I have ever seen." Robertson is not ready to name a leader, and his decision is not as close as once thought. "I thought after my trip to Clemson I would be ready to make a decision soon, but I am going to wait til the end of the summer. It will still be before my season starts."
