Riverside defensive lineman Kevin Dodd committed Saturday to the Tigers while on campus to watch the Tigers take on the Yellow Jackets. Dodd is the 20th commitment for the 2011 class. He also drew interest from Maryland and NC State. He was recruited by Clemson assistant coach Andre Powell.
Dodd didn't play varsity football until his junior year and had 81 tackles, 13 for loss, six quarterback hurries, five sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble return for a touchdown that year. He has 9 sacks so far this season.
