Mychal Belcher has become South Carolina's first commitment of the class of 2005. The Dorman High School quarterback was offered last week by the Gamecock staff and has accepted.
The Gamecocks were the first team to offer Belcher but Maryland, Tennessee and NC State were also involved. Belcher can play quarterback or in the secondary for the Gamecocks. USC defensive back coach Ron Cooper recruited Belcher for the Gamecocks. We will try to have Belcher on our radio show "The Overdrive" Tuesday afternoon.
