has signed a reserves/futures deal on Wednesday with the Detroit Lions.

Butler had 11 tackles in 14 games this season (3 starts and a total of 177 snaps). He has 22 career tackles including five special team tackles and also has three forced fumbles in the NFL.

The 27-year old cornerback has played for the following NFL teams: Tampa Bay, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Washington and Buffalo.

The Steelers drafted him in the fifth round (#164 overall) of the 2010 NFL draft.
