Righthander who sat out in 2013 after transferring from East Tennessee State ... was the Sunday starter most of the 2014 season ... in 144.1 innings pitched over 35 appearances (27 starts) and two seasons (one at East Tennessee and one at Clemson) at the collegiate level, he has a 5-12 record, one save and a 4.74 ERA while allowing 144 hits (.255 opponents’ batting average) and 68 walks with 112 strikeouts.

2014: Had a 3-3 record and 5.30 ERA in 16 appearances (12 starts) ... in 56.0 innings pitched, he allowed 55 hits (.255 opponents’ batting average) and 32 walks with 42 strikeouts ... had a team-tying-high three pickoffs ... held opponents to a .229 batting average with two outs and 1-for-11 (.091) with the bases loaded ... pitched 6.0 innings in a starting role, allowing six hits, two runs and no walks with three strikeouts to earn his first win as a Tiger against Maine on Feb. 23 ... pitched 6.1 innings in a starting role, allowing five hits, one run and one walk with four strikeouts against No. 3 South Carolina on March 2 ... pitched 5.1 innings in a starting role, allowing three hits with four strikeouts to earn the win in the second game of a doubleheader at Wake Forest on March 15 ... pitched 6.0 innings in a starting role, allowing three hits and one run with five strikeouts against No. 1 Florida State on March 22 ... pitched 5.0 innings in a starting role, allowing four hits and one run with four strikeouts at No. 2 Virginia on April 13 ... pitched 7.0 innings in a starting role, allowing six hits and two runs with two strikeouts to earn the win against UNLV on May 5 ... pitched a scoreless eighth inning with two strikeouts against No. 18 Oregon in the Nashville Regional on May 30.

2013: Redshirted ... sat out due to NCAA transfer rules ... played for Florence in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he was 2-1 with a 2.02 ERA, .186 opponents’ batting average and 44 strikeouts in 35.2 innings pitched over eight appearances (seven starts).

Before Clemson: Had a 2-9 record, one save, a 4.38 ERA, .256 opponents’ batting average and 70 strikeouts against 36 walks in 88.1 innings pitched over 19 appearances (15 starts) at East Tennessee State in 2012 ... played at Spartanburg Methodist College in 2011 ... member of the Alaska All-Star team in the summer of 2012 ... lettered multiple times in baseball ... coached by Tony Skole at East Tennessee State ... coached by Tim Wallace at Spartanburg Methodist College ... coached by Adam Comstock at T.L.
