Tough day in Tallahassee
It was a tough day in Tallahassee for the Clemson basketball team. Clemson had two long scoring droughts and fought foul trouble from the beginning as Florida St. (14-7 overall, 4-5 ACC) defeated the Tigers (13-8, 6-3) 76-65 at the Donald L. Tucker Center Saturday afternoon. Photo by Glenn Beil / USATODAY

Tigers slam No. 23 Pitt
The Well made the Tigers well again. Eight days after a disappointing road loss at Virginia, the Clemson basketball team returned to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena and knocked off No. 23 Pitt 73-60, the Tigers’ fourth Top 25 victory this season, the most by a Clemson team since the 1996-97 unit won five.

Eight Days Out: Tigers look to get back on track after long break
The Clemson basketball team had plenty of momentum going into its game with Virginia. A five-game winning streak does that. But the Tigers lost to the Cavaliers and then had eight days off to think about that game. Clemson (12-7 overall) will try to get back on track Wednesday night against Pittsburgh (16-3). oth teams are 5-2 in ACC play.

Uncle Mo’ is wearing orange

Clemson hit three big shots during a two-minute flurry late in the game and set a program record in defeating No. 8/9 Miami 76-65 at the Bon Secours Wellness Center Saturday afternoon, the third straight win over a Top 25 team, something that had never been accomplished in the program’s history.
