Jack Leggett: "Right now I wouldn't want to play us"

Despite Sunday’s loss in the series finale against North Carolina, Clemson head coach Jack Leggett thinks his team is not only dangerous, but about to turn the corner.

Clemson baseball struggling, but Leggett not ready to push the panic button
Clemson’s baseball season will hit the one-third point this week, so it’s still too early to panic. But with an overall record of 9-9 and a 2-4 start in ACC play, the Tigers need a spark to get the season going in the right direction.

Tigers, Koerner shut out Gamecocks for first rivalry series win since 2010
Brody Koerner pitched a complete game shutout and Clemson took advantage of four South Carolina errors in defeating No. 5 South Carolina 7-0 to win the season series for the first time since 2010.

Gamecocks down Tigers 4-1 in game two of Reedy River Rivalry
Clemson’s bats were as cold Saturday as they were hot on Friday. The Tigers pounded out three home runs in an 11-4 win over South Carolina at home on Friday but managed just seven hits and one run as the No. 10 Gamecocks evened the Reedy Rivalry series with a 4-1 victory at Greenville’s Fluor Field.

Crownover: Tigers plan to treat Gamecock series as "just the next game"
The rivalry series between Clemson and South Carolina is always special and brings along high expectations for both teams. However ,Matthew Crownover and the Tigers aren’t letting this weekend’s series against the Gamecocks add any undue pressure.

Weekend baseball wrap: Lack of clutch hitting dooms Tigers in series loss
The good news for the Clemson baseball program is that it's early, way too early to draw any definitive conclusions about the 2015 baseball team and how the lineup and hitting will look by season’s end. The bad news is the beginning of 2015 looks a lot like the end of 2014.

West Virginia blanks Tigers on Opening Day
Clemson's bats were as cold as the weather Friday afternoon as West Virginia began the 2015 season with a 2-0 win over the Tigers at Doug Kingsmore Stadium despite a superlative effort from starter Matthew Crownover. (Added quotes and boxscore)

Clemson unveils improved Doug Kingsmore this weekend
Fans who take a trip to Clemson and Doug Kingsmore Stadium this season to take in a little Clemson baseball will notice some changes to “The Doug.” Joe Simon, associate athletic director for facilities, met with the media Wednesday at Doug Kingsmore to update the upgrades.

Clemson baseball is back, and Clemson head coach Jack Leggett and the players say there is new attitude surrounding the program. What is different? What is the scouting report on West Virginia? What does Leggett say about fan support? Photo by Liz Condo / USATODAY

Rejuvenated Leggett ready to see what 2015 holds for the Tigers
Clemson head coach Jack Leggett met with the media Friday afternoon in a hallway underneath Jervey, and he didn’t act like a coach whose back might be against the proverbial wall. Leggett fielded questions with a new attitude and demeanor, and his players say they think this year's team has a chance to be special. Photo by Marvin Gentry / USATODAY
