I’ve seen better parking when we were 2-9….. Less people in the stands by far, and no upper decks…
I’ll take the crowds! Just win baby!

This is an interesting subject to me. I was in high school in the mid-70s and my brother went to CU. I would later follow him there, but decided my future was elsewhere. Returning to the subject, we would regularly drive down from Greenville to both football and basketball games and could walk right in on cheap tickets and sometimes even free. While I do appreciate the football winning lately, I miss the small town feel of those times. Clemson, and Clemson sports, was a very different place then.

In my 60 years of going to Clemson football games, I have never been to a Spring Game and doubt I ever will at this stage in life. Nothing to learn and if it is on Masters Saturday it is a hard no.

Clearly our disappointing season last year and our boring style of play

has led to fan apathy.
Dabo needs to be more successful and play a more exciting brand of football. Fans used to pack the stadium for the spring game, but not anymore.
I hope Neff is paying attention.

Last I heard from Neff on this issue was that he is in the process of drafting a letter for NIL donors , who will then inform IPTAY donors of his expectations for the football program and future efforts to help Dabo reach his expectations. Seems like 2022 will be an important year for Dabo

Obviously I get the sarcasm but I really don’t understand why we schedule it on masters weekend that makes no sense … and yes the weather was terrible… but ppl say tv runs the schedule I mean how can the accn justify playing a half of the game on television … next year I would say this is when we are having it let the tv either pick it up or not , may make more ppl go (weather was def a huge factor though along with the masters like it or not the masters is a huge deal coming from someone that lives 10 min from the course, I mean I saw a ton of Clemson hats/shirts on the broadcast, which would prob be fans at the game if one of the biggest global sporting events wasn’t 2 hours away)

They filled up the lower levels a couple times recently after those national titles but otherwise, Clemson's spring game attendance has never consistently "packed" the stadium. 2015 Spring Game had 37,000 people, only slightly more than Saturday.

I think the cold had a good bit to do with it.

Can't expect the senior fans to brave that for a Spring Game. But overall I was pretty impressed by the numbers. Didn't see Tuga in his UDP seats so maybe it was a little too nippy for him, but folks showed up at least to give the little guy his first listen to what a stadium wide cadence count sounds like.

Parked right by the Esso for lunch and than went to the game. It was cold but enjoyed every second there!
