After watching film on this young man, I believe he will push Cade for playing time this season. I watched a 9 min clip of some of his highlights and this was the positives that I took away.
1. He's got a quick release and gets the ball out quickly. Of course, he had a great offensive line and fast wide outs to get the ball to.
2. He's accurate and can thread the needle or drop it into the basket on deep throws over the wide receiver's shoulder.
3. His arm strength is solid as well. I didn't see a pass thrown less then 40 yards in his film.
4. He's a dual threat and can extend drives with his legs. He's a speedster for sure.
Provided that he remains healthy and with better development of the offensive line and wide receiver recruitment, we may just see a Championship win sooner than later.

Plenty of potential. Strong junior year in high school going 10-2. Terrible senior year going 3-7, 1-5 in region. Played well at camps. Do not see him challenging Cade unless due to injury.

Cade has to get the mental game going better. Seems to be always fighting up hill rather than down hill.

Agreed Cade seems to be a little late on throws and doesn’t see the whole field

I don't see it. He only received limited snaps in practice last year since he was on the scout team. Based off his spring game performance, he had a ton to work on. Feels like he needs a lot of practice snaps before he's ready.
Hopefully I'm wrong though.

He will become a solid backup to Cade and will get as much early game time as Dabo can get him to make sure he is ready!

there will be another wave of players from every team not happy with their depth chart position coming out of spring ball.

He has some ability, but the best course of action if Cade gets injured is to turn around and hand it to the bad mafah at running back. Hopefully the coaches wouldn't put it all on Vizzina's shoulders this yr if it came to that.

more of a project than they first realized. I hope that he can provide serious competition and also be able to come in and play when needed but we’ll have to wait and see.
A good showing in the spring game would make us all feel better.

I have no staff contacts, but have read the same thing. I also saw a pic from Hood and a comment that he stays late after every game to throw passes. Tells me he is grinding to get better. Normally a guy with that work ethic is someone you will see taking the next step.

Fortunately Chad Morris is back on campus, and we remeber the job he did with Boyd and Watson. And being that he is an analyst and not a coach, has unlimited access to CV.

That’s exactly right. Huge project. Was rated highly on what he could be… not what he is.
I’ve said on here a couple of times already that he’ll never play any meaningful snaps at Clemson barring an injury.
He’s all projection. It’s good that he’s grinding to get better but he’ll never play at Clemson aside from injury or Cade leaving early after next season which I highly doubt but you never know.

The Expert has spoken!!! Shocking that you allow Dabo to coach and don’t do it yourself.

I have a feeling those same staff members would say the same thing about Cade.

Ideally he becomes a legitimate option next season. Cade needs to know there's someone nipping at his heels. Hopefully it will elevate Cade and keep him from going off-script.

If Cade will stop running backwards, it would be a good start. He needs to learn to step up, or side step the rush, while looking downfield.

Have you ever watched Cades high school film? He's regressed here. The only knock on Cade in HS was he did not have a rocket launcher for a right arm.

No comment on the progress of Vizzina, I am still trying to find out who rated Cade as a 5 star prospect? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

That describes Cade to a tee in HS.

I watched several games of his, streaming live on youtube. He was as good a HS QB as I have ever seen (and I'm a septugenarian).
I hope Vizzina is good enough to push Cade this year. Competition makes everyone better.
