She pitched incredibly well that night, 10Ks over 7.1 innings, errors by her infield and zero offensive support did her in that night, Rittman left her out there to throw 114 pitches. She was never the same after that game

Throwing that many pitches is not a big deal in softball. The truth is, she just isn’t the same player we have seen in the past. I would not be surprised to find out that she has been fighting some sort of injury the entire year. I think that the concussion she had mid season was much more than that. She is just an incredible athlete.

Really the only knock on Cagle is that she didn't perform well in post season pretty much her whole career. I am not into softball but watched/followed most of our post season tournament games and if memory serves she consistently didn't play well in the biggest games.

Her numbers were decent this year but again seemed like she disappeared against the best teams we played.
