2nd and let the team know all spots are earned. Let Cade know he's not guaranteed a starting spot but he's getting the nod going into the summer.

If I'm Dabo I'm not naming Pearman second string until midway through the season to ensure that Vizzina doesn't hit the portal before the season starts.

You're probably right tbh. It's a 1000x harder to coach College than Pros imo, retaining players is significantly harder and a huge obstacle in college athletics now.

Cade needs to know disobeying orders on called plays or bonehead turnovers gets him a sideline seat. That should havve been shown to him several times last year.

I predict an "or" beside his name on the next depth chart***

Name Pearman the starter going into spring and tell all three that it’s anybody’s job to win weekly.

Unless Cade is hurt, I see no scenario that has Dabo making Pearman’s first start against UGA. He will ride with Cade until it becomes very obvious he can’t lead this team. Riding a 6 game winning streak is not going to get him replaced in Week 1 nor a few easier games that follow.

Then we will lose 2-3 games....He's not a good QB...the staff has to know this.

Vizzina was a depth recruit. He will probably not be the starting QB at Clemson, even after Cade is gone.

Vizzina is a talented project that always needed 2-3 years of development. That's fine if you hit on your 5* QBs or use the portal, but can make for a rough 2-3 years if you don't.

People who don’t understand football think that he should start. He should definitely be second string, but Cade, despite his shortcomings, gives us our best chance at winning

The kid who was a walk on and won two natty’s? That’s who Trent Pearman reminds me of.

Take that name off this board, Stetson Bennet was 26 years old played college football for seven years never got a degree from anywhere has a substance abuse problem that makes him unavailable in the NFL. Is 100% a product of a win at all cost program, if that is what you are looking for look to a new University to pull for.

He appears to have the natural ability and has developed his skill but it's probable, imo, that the playcalling was limited to plays he'd mastered. I suspect Dabo wanted those in front of him on the roster to work on their weaknesses.

4th option. Let them battle it out in fall camp. No purple jersey and let them go full contact like they did back in 2014. Let the best man win. If Cade actually feels his job is on the line we may actually see him tighten up.

If spearman was a 5 star recruit we all know what

Would happen. He won’t be the starter unless we have an injury but it’s good know we have somebody that has a clue. Def should easily be 2nd string.
