The Brownell Era at Clemson is coming to a close. His teams are tbe some every season regardless of tbe talent. Can't handle ball pressure, stink in late shot clock management, lazy passes, long stretches of no scoring, defense is often lost and .oh yeah never makes or wins tournament or meaningful games. Please administration let's move on and try someone else!

And the Clemson administration.
And the big donors, true basketball people and anyone with half a brain. Really only the LF think firing a coach after two 20 win seasons is a good idea

How are you quantifying that? Purnell’s last season averaged 9465 attendance. Last year averaged 6517. That’s a 30% decline in attendance over more than a decade. Before you trot out the old “attendance is down everywhere” trope, Clemson attendance decline under Brownell is more than double the national average over that period. That’s during his golden age. With PJ Hall and Hunter Tyson and a team that finished 3rd in the ACC . Ticket and event revenue from 2009-10 to 2022-23 has actually shrunk, during the greatest period of economic growth in Clemson history, from $1.7 million to $1.64 million. Net revenues for basketball (after adjusting for TV revenue which was removed from the revenue column for the first time that season) were NEGATIVE $4.2 million last season. The program made a profit of nearly $1 million in 2009-10. The only real boost to revenue for basketball has been the “donations” related to the new premium seating. And we’re still losing money. And the biggest boosters aren’t the buyers. If the 109 Riggs Boosters exercised their ticket options there would be no premium seating left for any other IPTAY category. But they don’t. If Heisman boosters, alone, bought their basketball ticket allocation there would not be a seat left in Littlejohn for anyone else. But they don’t.

I believe Gymnastics averaged over 8400 in attendance in the same facility that BB plays in.

I trust you are comparing seasons with comparable numbers of Saturday afternoon games as opposed to Tuesday night games?

Wish it were so, but if team overcomes their poor traits, plays to true potential and makes tourney despite coach/staff, Brown L will haunt us again
Kinda like z Groundhog Day, huh?

I look at tbe stands and fans are still showing up. That is an issue. Tbe administration doesn't care as long as ticket sales are strong. It's time for Clemson Basketball (who really care) to make statement. Empty seats will force change. No money no Brad!!

Good one and they were toddlers when the Brownhell era began. They know no better or nothing else.

It’s 30% less than we’re showing up Purnell’s last year. Think that matters to anyone?

I actually had us losing today and still winning 21 and getting in. I am not sure if we can win a game in the tournament unless we capture some of the early season magic. Team just seems way out of synch.
