we've shown we'll give a coach 14 years to make top 8.

He's got some time.
Based in historical averages, we go about 54 years between elite eight appearances and roughly 20 years between sweet 16 appearances so CBB is way ahead of our historical pace. Another feather in his cap!

… that Bakich would have done the great job that he has so far. He’s brought the baseball program back into National Championship relevance.
Sure, there are issues with certain areas, but I trust that he gets the best out of our players and gives us a good chance to win each game.
Go Tigers!

Exactly. Maybe we aren’t really the second best team in the country right now, but none of the naysayers would have believed that in less than two years of the Bakich era, he would already have an ACC championship, a solid chance to be a top 8 seed in the playoffs this year, and voted as high as #2 nationally.
We haven’t played our best ball lately, but in baseball, the best team doesn’t always win. The team that gets hot come tournament time will win. This team could do it. Think Coastal Carolina 2016. Did anyone pick them as national champs? They got hot at the right time.
Give the coach and team a break and enjoy the ride. We may not be there yet, but Bakich is building something special faster than anyone thought possible. As another poster said, he’s way ahead of schedule.

He can pull up a seat next to the 3rd base coach....just let Bakich be head coach, pitching coach and 3rd base coach. Hell put Jack out there on 3rd or move the 1st base coach to 3rd and let Jack coach 1st

This is idiotic. Monte Lee left a skeleton of a program and Bakich turned it around into a top four national seed in year one, and it having similar success in year 2. The bullpen is problematic—I have felt that way since February—but there's a foundation here for a program that is far ahead of schedule.
