But more than likely, if they keep beating that drum loud enough, they will have more boosters willing to pony up more nil money than before being left out of the cfp.

NIL money had nothing to do with them not making the CFP.

Also, with SEC adding 2 and Big 10 adding 4 schools and new TV contracts kicking in, there will be a lull over the next few seasons. Once contract talks heat up again, realignment will be a major issue and the stakes for the next round will be big.
FSU, Clemson, UNC don't need to make a move right now, but need to be in position to make a move and the flexibility to move swiftly when time comes.

Once the Gor is broken, the conference implodes immediately.

Thank You Florida State for taking the lead.
That being said, your suit is meritless even though you did get hosed by the CFP.

not hosed. All criteria were taken into account to determine the best four teams, and they didn't meet the criteria enough to get in. A P5 team undefeated is not among the criteria. Win-loss is, and several other important things, including SOS, FPI rating, and injuries.
And why are you feeling sorry for a team that boat-raced us for more than a decade and is building a statue to a QB who stole lobsters?

Conference championship also a variable.

But the committee basically ignored every variable except a ridiculously subjective eye test. You can’t decide who will win a game when teams are this level. That’s why you play the game.
I’m aware it was supposed to be “4 best”, but it’s broken to leave it up to an eye test. That needs to be eliminated immediately. When going to 12 teams, there needs to be rules set I stone. No silly eye teat garbage. You make the playoffs based on a body of work, just like every other sport.

12 of 22 starters this year were bought off other teams rosters this year and still couldn’t make the playoffs, could be voting on abandoning all high school recruiting and expanding the salary cap?

Probably going to sue the ACC Commish and the ACC and ESPN and the CFP committee and Booger for colluding to deny FSU a CFP spot.
The ACC commish did nothing to help FSU while Sanky was all over ESPN and Game Day pushing SEC teams for CFP. ESPN then did a 3 hour commercial o the ACC Championship game dissing FSU. Booger's brother works for ESPN. Lots of collusion and I think this will be the suit filed.

My suspicion is the membership status of FSU, Clemson, UNC ... any of the usual suspects in the Conference Exodus Police Line-Up ... will remain status quo for both the short and long term.
My gamble is this is merely saber rattling to attain greater leverage in revenue sharing, perhaps even a re-negotiated GOR.
If they can saber rattle loud enough, have their revenues increased with a weighted 'eat what you kill' formula and get into an expanded playoff entrance gate going forward, they will not leave.

FSU, if they get out, will either go to the B10 or SEC.

Not exactly.
Non-official communications happen all the time between conferences and universities, and both know exactly where the other stands before anything official occurs.
From an official standpoint for legal reasons, no conference can extend an invitation until the university extricates itself from the previous conference. And in the case of the SEC, the university has to apply for membership before the conference takes up a vote.
So to summarize, both sides know where they stand even though nothing official has happened. The official vote (if there ever is one) will essentially be a formality. OU and UT knew for sure they were in the SEC long before anything official happened.

Not one word on that GOR document in Greensboro (er, I guess Charlotte now) has changed since the last time they met and discussed this problem. Same will be true the next time they have a meeting about it.

The GOR document has not changed, but their resolve to leave is much stronger than it was a few months ago.

Perhaps but the decision to leave is more about $$$ than resolve, and the $$$ equation is unchanged no matter how many times they huff and puff and leak to an espn reporter about yet another meeting.
They’ve been in the pot a long time already in Tallahassee and still no Shyatt.

ESPN single-handedly propagandized the "weak" ACC DURING the very ACC championship game and directly propagandized other teams getting in over FSU on their network. That alone should be grounds for at least a lawsuit if not voiding the TV rights deal all at once.
