Who gets that fourth spot? Yall know as well as I do, Florida state would have gotten screwed again. Georgia would have gotten it. This is a pretty bad look on the committee imo

If Clemson hadn't fumbled away a TD or had simply made our chipshot FG with 1:45

left in the game against FSU they wouldn't be undefeated either... But if bullfrogs had wings....
No one knows what the CFP Committee would have done because truthfully - no one truly knows how close the actual vote was to keep FSU in the top 4 as opposed to where they ended up at number 5.
The committee spokesman already said the vote on FSU was not unanimous so some members did vote to keep them in the top 4 but the majority voted to make them number 5.
I find it funny how so many Clemson folks seem to be upset over this when we all suspect Clemson would beat the current FSU team if we were set to play them again. Does anyone think the other top 4 conference champs would fare any worse than Clemson against the team FSU is fielding right now?
Why is it so hard to understand that one of the stated CFP Committee principles for ranking teams is: "Other relevant factors including player and coach availability" and that factored heavily into the committees decision?
It's not a conspiracy against FSU, the ACC or anything else. The CFP Committee was given a tough task this year based on how the season played out and they made a tough decision, based on their stated principles, that was not unanimous but a view held by the majority in ranking FSU #5.
Just be thankful that this is the last year of a 4 team playoff where at least one Power 5 Conference Champ has been left out EVERY year. Next year's 12 team format fixes that inherent flaw and all Power 4 Champs get an automatic bid regardless of record so there will no longer be a case of the ACC Champ being left out.
Why so many Clemson fans seem to be butthurt over FSU - where almost the entire starting roster is made up of paid for transfers and is coached by that COVID excuse maker Norvell - is beyond me...

That the CFP selected TX over FSU bothered me more than the Bama choice.
Looking aside from TX’s loss to OK and their win over the early season / Tyler Buchner QB’d Bama:
TX struggled against very poor teams of TCU, Houston, and IA State … all during 2nd half of the season.
Beat four Top 25 teams … among them #23 K.State (in OT) and #24 KS.
TX’s strongest justification for being in CFP is their pending soft landing in the SEC. More hype for the SEC by being able to brag that (undeserved) TX is in the SEC for the start of 2024 season.
FSU beat three Top 25 teams (Clemson is not included in this Top 25 ranking … we belong in there). Again, undefeated conference champion.
TX in the CFP is just a Participation Trophy choice. ESPN, or should I say Disney, really needs for ESPN and the SEC to kill it in the ratings … starting NOW. Disney CEO Bob Iger is on the hot seat; a corporate raider is breathing down his neck. Iger will sell out the future credibility of any entity under control of the Disney media business if doing so brings in better ratings RIGHT NOW.
FSU simply doesn’t have the ratings cache as TX or Bama.
All of the above (except for Disney taking on water fast) is, of course, just my opinion.

Calm down man. It's all good. But it's bs that Florida state got left out when they were undefeated. If clemson was in fsu's shoes, you would be pissed too. What it boils down to... is money (sec). I could have told you that this would happen before it ever did. No way they would keep the sec out. You have your opinion and I have mine but in my eyes this is wrong. Fsu earned it. And btw I am not a fan of fsu , Norvell, or travis.

Well, after they play each other we can see if that would have been right or not.
