I really and truly thought this year was different, especially when we got ranked as high as #16 this early in the season, but I should have known better than get hopes up and would all come crashing down hard. Here we are again, in the same position for the past, I don’t know, how many years. It’s officially a Pattern that has to end this season. Can his

Usually we start the downturn a little later and don't start so good. Better start this year though I dont think we've beaten any great teams

I started going to football and basketball around 1962 or so and here is the difference between the sports.

Starting in 1965 with Frank Howard, we have won 18 ACC Championships, 3 National Championships and had 9 different coaches. Winning is expected.

Starting in 1965 with Bobby Roberts, we have won 0 ACC Championships and of course no National Championships and have had 8 different coaches. Winning is a hope and a prayer.

This may be the year that Coach Brownell will be fired but do not expect that to make a huge difference in the results if history has anything to do with it.
